HFHMC builds simple, energy-efficient, 3- or 4-bedroom homes of 1,064 and 1,232 square feet. They are typical of the type of house built by HFH all over the world. The walls of the house are assembled in the Habitat warehouse, then erected on the foundation/floor of the new house at the site.
Each construction project is assigned a House Leader, who manages the construction site and provides technical assistance. House Leaders are the "on-site management" required to build a home to certain specifications. They decide each volunteer's job based on daily needs and individual skills.
